Lesbian Dating – Arranging Your First Date
By Nenah Drewry
It is important to put some effort into arranging your first date with her, in order to increase its chances of success. This could even help to convince her that she wants to see you again.
You can arrange to have your first date at a bar if you both drink. Avoid a big night club as this removes intimacy from the occasion. If you don’t drink, coffee will do. This type of date is short enough and convenient in case she bores you to death and you need a quick get away. If you do not live in the same town, arrange to meet her somewhere halfway in a public place.
When it comes to first date topics, there are those that you may discuss, and those that should be avoided at all costs. You could talk about each others dating experiences, but avoid maligning exes with whom you had a bad experience. You may discuss common interests such as books, movies and music, as well as where you grew up. Use humor to ease the tension.
If at the end of the date you decide that you do not want to see her again, be honest and courteous about this. On the other hand, you may ask her out on a second date if you feel that you want to get to know her a little bit better. Remember that there are no guarantees that you will enjoy your first date and will want to see each other again. Do not despair if it doesn’t work out. As with everything else in life, dating is trial and error.
